An 8-Week Seminar starting Jan. 31

Fathering is a daunting and complex task. Our children are unique human beings created in the image of God. They grow up to have their own lives, something we as parents can never completely control. Our fathering is further complicated by the world in which we live.

Here is the schedule and what will be covered:

Even when we work diligently at spending time with our kids, we can feel as if we have no idea what we are doing when it comes to fathering. As one person put it, “Oh, I feel like I’m doing everything that’s expected of me most of the time. But even that’s only by the grace of God, with my job and everything. Usually, I feel like I’m just muddling through. I’ve got this fear that one day it is going to crash down around me.”

Fortunately fathering is a learned skill. We can learn to be craftsmen.

Beginning January 31, we will begin an eight-week series to read and discuss the book “The 7 Secrets of Effective Fathers”. This is the first book to analyze the habits and characteristics of fathers across the country. It is practical and easy to understand; it is written for ordinary guys who want to learn to be effective fathers.
